Smiles After The Storm was founded by three local women who, through their hands-on work in the community, networking, and supporting other nonprofits, gained a deeper understanding of the real challenges families face every day. From witnessing hardship firsthand to hearing the stories behind it, they recognized a growing need for meaningful, compassionate support during life’s most difficult moments. Inspired by these experiences, they set out to create a program dedicated to helping families navigate times of crisis with dignity, care, and hope.

What began as a simple mission has grown into a heartfelt commitment to serving families in need. We support those facing all types of crises—whether it’s illness, natural disasters, financial hardship, or unexpected life challenges that can turn a family’s world upside down. During these times, even small acts of kindness can make a lasting impact.
