Smiles After The Storm was founded by three local women who, through their work in the community, networking, and supporting other nonprofits, gained a deeper understanding of the real needs families face every day. Inspired by these experiences, they set out to create a program dedicated to helping families through life’s most difficult moments.
We support families facing all types of crises—whether it’s illness, natural disasters, financial hardship, or unexpected challenges. Our mission is to provide comfort, relief, and meaningful moments of happiness when they are needed most. Through every storm, we strive to remind families that they are not alone and that brighter days are ahead.

Looking For Assistance?
Whether you are seeking assistance as an organization or as an individual, Smiles After the Storm is here to help. We provide birthday celebration support to organizations looking to host monthly birthday parties for children, as well as to families who may be experiencing hardship due to medical challenges or unexpected financial circumstances beyond their control.
We offer flexible options to meet each family’s needs. Our team can coordinate and host a full birthday celebration, or we can provide a Birthday Party in a Box, allowing families or organizations to host the celebration themselves with everything they need included.
In addition to birthday celebrations, we offer emergency assistance to families facing sudden crises. This includes support for families temporarily displaced due to natural disasters, such as house fires, helping them navigate a difficult time with care and compassion.
Our goal is to bring moments of joy, relief, and hope to families and children when they need it most.
How We Make A Difference
We collaborate closely with the Boys & Girls Club of Webster-Dudley, recognizing the challenges families face and working together to ease the burdens they carry. By stepping in during difficult times, we help create moments that matter — whether it’s a birthday celebration, a holiday gift, or simply the comfort of knowing that someone cares.
